Dot Rivals for iPhone, iPad and Android

Effective date: October 21, 2026 · Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy explains how the game Dot Rivals handles information. "We", "us" and "our" mean the Dot Rivals team, the developer of the game.

The short version

1. Games on your phone

To work, the game saves a few things in its private storage on your phone: your settings (look, computer level, sound and vibration), the players you add on this phone, your stats, an unfinished match so you can continue it, and which tips you have seen. This stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the game.

2. Online play (only if you use it)

When you choose Online with Friends, you sign in with Apple, Google, an email address, or as a guest. Then we keep:

WhatWhy
Your sign-in: an account ID, and your email address (Apple, Google or Email sign-in; with Apple you can hide your real email)To keep your account and let you sign in again
Your profile: username, display name, an animal face or your own small photo, a 9-digit game ID, your game statsSo friends can find you and see who they play with
Friends, friend requests, room invites and join requestsSo you can play together
Your rooms and online games (moves, scores) and when you were last onlineTo run the games and show who is online
Room chat: quick comments, emojis and short messages you sendSo the other players in the room can see them
A push token (a code for your phone)To tell you about invites and friend requests when the game is closed
Reports you send about other playersTo keep the game safe

Voice chat and the microphone

The game uses the microphone only while you have Mic turned on in a room or an online game. Your voice goes straight to the other players' phones, encrypted end to end (WebRTC). When a direct connection is not possible, it passes through a relay (Cloudflare) that cannot hear it. Voice is never recorded or stored by us or by anyone else.

Photos

If you pick your own profile picture, the game shrinks it to a small image and stores only that. It never reads your other photos.

3. Who handles the data for us

They work only on our behalf. All data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.

4. How long we keep it, and deleting it

Your online data stays while you have an account. To delete it, open Settings → Online account → Delete account in the game. This removes your sign-in, profile, picture, username, game ID, friends list and push token right away. Moves and chat lines in past rooms and games stay with those games but no longer link to a profile. To have those removed too, or if you can't open the app, email us (see Delete your account). Guest accounts can be deleted the same way.

5. Children

Online play is for players aged 13 and older. Games on your phone need no account and collect nothing, so anyone can play them. If you think a child under 13 has an online account, email us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

You can see and change your profile in the game, and delete it at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct or delete it. Email us and we will answer within 30 days.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how the game handles information, we will update this page and its date before that version is released.
